Rotary Shaft Seals / Oil Seals

Rotary shaft seals, commonly known as oil seals, are essential sealing components used to close spaces between stationary and moving parts in mechanical equipment. They help prevent the leakage of lubricants such as oil and grease while protecting machinery from harmful contaminants including dust, dirt, moisture, and corrosive particles. These seals play a critical role in extending the life and performance of bearings, shafts, and rotating equipment.

Oil seals are widely used in precision-engineered systems to prevent lubricant escape from bearings and rotating assemblies. They also help avoid contamination between different media, such as lubricating oil and water, ensuring reliable and efficient machine operation even in harsh industrial environments.

Rotary shaft seals are manufactured by vulcanizing elastomer materials onto a metal ring, which provides structural strength and stability. A metal tension spring positioned behind the sealing lip ensures effective sealing performance. Various designs are available, including high-pressure seals, dual-spring seals, and end caps, to meet diverse industrial requirements.

These seals conform to DIN 3760 standards and are available in multiple rubber materials such as Nitrile, Viton, Silicone, and EPDM, offering excellent resistance to temperature, chemicals, and wear.
